Hyner East
Hyner East (2197 MSL, 1548 AGL)
is located directly across from Hyner View. This site faces East which provides early thermals and
has a ridge for soaring as well. The main LZ is in front of launch (next Rt. 120) or you can land
at the Hyner LZ if you are high enough and have a high performance glider. Directions to this site
are tricky so contact a local
pilot for assistance.
Kennedy
Kennedy (345°, 1630 MSL, 1170 AGL) is a North facing site located
about 45 min from Hyner near the town of McElhattan. Launch is located on State Forrest land
so Hyner Club membership is a must. The LZ is located to the left of launch next to a camp ground.
Raven's
Haven
Raven's Haven (330°, 1830 MSL, 1225 AGL) is a Northwest facing site located
near the town of Port Royal. This site has a long, steep ridge with great
thermals and XC potential.
Super
Bowl
Super Bowl (200°, 1977 MSL) is a SW facing site
located about 30min from Hyner located near the town of Rote on the same ridge as Kennedy. There are
many LZs' for this site and they change due to season crops. The LZs' are Amish owned
which we ask for permission each time we fly. Please respect their culture when landing
there.
Jacks'
Jacks' (130°, 1915 MSL) is an outstanding SE site
located about 1.5hrs from Hyner near Belleville. The ridge at Jacks is long and offers
great ridge soaring and XC potential.
Pleasant
Gap
Pleasant Gap is located outside of Bellefonte about 45min from Hyner.
Facing NW, Pleasant Gap offers ridge soaring with great XC potential.
Bald
Eagle
Bald Eagle is a NW facing training hill in Bald Eagle
State Park which is located 15 miles west of Lock Haven on Rt.150. The
Park is run by the DCNR and you need to be a Hyner Club member in order to fly

Hancock
Located in Hancock, NY, this SW (200°, 900AGL) site has a cliff/slope launch
with a huge LZ in front. There is site protocol so
contact John Bilsky and he'll take care of you.
Road to launch is 4WD.
